shiraz 2021
AOC Wallis
shiraz rocks – with rough edges
Why is this Valais wine called “Shiraz” and not “Syrah”, as is customary in Valais? Quite simply, this Shiraz is influenced by my years of training in Australia at the beginning of the 1990s. Here I was able to help develop a completely new type of Shiraz at the time, which then went around the world. Of course, Eyers Rock is missing in the Valais Alps. But this single-varietal Shiraz rocks all the more – with rough edges, spicy and powerful. The dry and hot altitudes in Valais shape its character.
