Harvest 2022: A splendour!

The 2022 harvest in Jenins was early, and I have hardly ever experienced such a grateful harvest. We harvested so many and such beautiful grapes than probably ever before! With such abundance, the mood was excellent and the work went easily.

With such a harvest, I am now under a lot of pressure. Will I succeed in making a wine from these perfect grapes that lives up to this level? In other years with grape quality in the middle range, I could actually only win during vinification and get the optimum out of it. But now? Now there is a steep pass of the extra class in the cellar. I gladly accept this challenge! And it’s a bit like William Tell: one shot – and it has to be right.
