A Successful Wine Tasting in Seoul
While we are preparing for the coming harvest here in Basel, our colleague Madoka is traveling in the Far East. In the middle of the Korean city of Seoul, she held a wine seminar in the wine shop Vino Amicus – with great success!
Vino Amicus, Jane Beck’s wine store, not only offers wines for sale, but also has an inviting tasting room. Madoka was a guest there and was able to present Switzerland as a wine country, introduce our company and present our four new white wines as well as the latest vintages of our aspermont and jeninser, which are already being sold in Korea. The participants, all wine lovers from Vino Amicus’ circle of acquaintances, were open and very interested. Many of them had never tasted Swiss wine before.
After the tasting, we made a detour to the Gargotte wine bar. The owner Youjin, who had already won an award for our Chasselas at a Korean wine competition, as well as her regular guests and the well-known wine journalist Sangmi were also there. Sangmi has often visited wineries around the world and made the evening very special.
A pleasant reunion and a wonderful opportunity to toast together with our wines and strengthen the connection between vinigma and wine lovers in Korea.
